Entwine is a private two-person chat space with an AI mediator, built for couples and close partners working through difficult conversations. Your privacy is fundamental to the trust this app requires. This Privacy Policy explains what data Entwine collects, how it is used, and the safeguards in place to protect your information.
Core Principle: Entwine collects only the minimum data necessary to provide the mediation experience. Conversations are private between you and your partner. Personally identifiable information is stripped before any data reaches the AI model.

When either partner taps Invoke Entwine, the conversation context is sent to our AI model for processing. The mediator reads the thread and provides a neutral, de-escalating response.

Anonymized conversation data (with all PII removed) may be used to improve and fine-tune the AI mediator model. This data contains no personally identifiable information and cannot be traced back to you or your partner.

Entwine stores the following data locally on your device using Android DataStore (or equivalent on iOS):
Local preferences are stored exclusively on your device and are not synced to cloud services beyond what your device's standard backup settings provide.
💾 Local Privacy: Device-stored data is limited to authentication state and app preferences. You can clear this data at any time by clearing app data or uninstalling.

Conversation messages are retained on the relay server for as long as the room exists. When a room is deleted, all associated conversation data is permanently removed within 30 days.
Your account information is retained for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
Anonymized data sent to the AI model for mediation may be retained for model improvement purposes. This data has all PII stripped and cannot be linked back to individual users.
